Description of 4.4 Implementation and Operation
Description
The organization needs to allocate responsible parties who will monitor implementation and adherence to environmental requirements. Training is to be provided as necessary to ensure that staff is aware of the significance of environmental policy and their own part in the achievement of policy goals. Reliable procedures need to be in place for communication, documentation and document control. Not only should the organization plan for oversight in the event of absence, but it should have a plan of action in the event of an emergency.
